If you experience any of these side effects, seek medical attention immediately. These are symptoms of a serious adverse reaction–or allergic reaction–to this medication and require treatment right away.
Orlistat has been shown to affect the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (vitamin A, D, E and K). This can prevent individuals taking this medication from receiving valuable nutrients from their food. Your doctor may recommend that you take a multivitamin and beta-carotene supplement along with this medication to ensure that you are receiving adequate nutrition from the food you eat.
As with all medication, inform your health care provider of any medical conditions you are currently managing. Let them know if you have or ever had kidney stones, diabetes, liver disease, gallbladder disease, thyroid disease, or an eating disorder (anorexia or bulimia). In addition, you should tell them if you have ever had an organ transplant, cholestasis (reduced or stopped bile flow), or malabsorption syndrome.
Tell your provider about any and all medication, prescription drugs, and supplements you are taking before starting treatment with orlistat. Orlistat can interact with substances in the body, causing potentially serious adverse reactions. Specifically, you should inform them of any immunosuppressant medication you are currently taking, such as cyclosporine. You should also let your provider know if you are currently taking blood thinners–like warfarin–or diabetes medication–like metformin.
In addition, let your doctor know if you are planning to become pregnant, are pregnant, or are currently breastfeeding before starting treatment with this medication.

Orlistat is one of the most well-known and widely used weight loss medications. By blocking the absorption of fat in the body, Orlistat helps to reduce the amount of fat absorbed into your bloodstream. This results in reduced calorie intake and can help you lose weight and maintain a healthier weight for your future.
Orlistat is available in 120 mg and 180 mg capsules. The recommended dosage is one 120 mg capsule per day for adults and one 180 mg capsule per day for those over 65 who are overweight or obese. The dose can be adjusted based on your response to the medication and your individual response to it. For those who have a reduced-calorie diet and may be overweight, the recommended dose is one 120 mg capsule per day. It can be taken with or without food, but it is best taken at least 30 minutes prior to any meal or snack to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal side effects. It is important to follow your healthcare provider's recommendations for the best results with Orlistat. It is recommended to take Orlistat 120 mg or 180 mg once a day. It is important to take Orlistat with a full glass of water, even if you feel better before it. If you miss a dose of Orlistat, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular dosing schedule. If you are experiencing any side effects, such as stomach pain or oily stools, consult with your healthcare provider before starting Orlistat 120mg Capsules.
The side effects of Orlistat 120mg Capsules can vary in their intensity and duration. Common side effects include abdominal discomfort, bloating, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and weight loss. If you experience severe or persistent side effects, you should contact your healthcare provider for guidance. It is important to follow the recommended dosage and dosage instructions provided by your healthcare provider. For example, if you are overweight or obese, you should take Orlistat 120 mg capsules once a day to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal side effects.
Pfizer’s new weight loss drug, Xenical, is on the market today.
A new study has shown that the weight loss drugs Xenical and orlistat are more likely to be successful in reversing the weight loss that some have claimed.
In their study, published in the journal the British Journal of Nutrition on Tuesday, researchers found that Xenical can significantly increase the total body weight in up to 60 percent of users.
Researchers from the University of California, San Francisco, reported that Xenical has been shown to reduce the risk of gastric cancer by 60 percent in obese patients.
Dr. Marc Chiesi, a professor of medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, said that in the study, “We were looking at whether patients who were taking Xenical, orlistat, would be at a higher risk of developing gastric cancer than those who were taking placebo.”
He added that, “It is clear that the combination of Xenical with the other three weight loss drugs, orlistat and orlistat, was a good fit for these patients and they had a lower risk of gastric cancer.”
Chiesi added that the study is still in its early stages and that some patients may not be using the medications in a proper dosage regimen.
The study was presented at the American Society for Clinical Nutrition’s conference on Tuesday, and a conference on Tuesday is scheduled for next week.
“I was particularly concerned by the results of the weight loss trials,” Chiesi said. “This is the first of many studies to show that Xenical can be a useful weight loss treatment, and that Xenical has been successful in reducing the risk of gastric cancer.”
In his research, Chiesi and his colleagues compared the weight loss of 120 healthy male volunteers with those who received a placebo. Those subjects lost about 2 to 3 percent of their body weight within three weeks.
“Our analysis showed that the participants who received Xenical were three times more likely to lose their baseline body weight than the group who received placebo,” said Chiesi.
The study found that Xenical could significantly increase the total body weight in up to 60 percent of users.
Researchers said that Xenical has been shown to reduce the risk of gastric cancer by 60 percent in obese patients.
“We have seen promising results with Xenical, and it appears that Xenical is as effective as the other drugs in reducing the risk of gastric cancer,” said Chiesi.
Chiesi said the study was “not an early confirmation” that Xenical is a viable treatment for the majority of patients with gastric cancer.
“These results are very encouraging, and we believe that there’s still a long way to go,” said Chiesi.
In their research, Chiesi said that the research has not been conducted in the United States, Canada, or any other country.
Chiesi and his colleagues compared the weight loss of 120 healthy male volunteers with those who received a placebo.
Chiesi and his colleagues also noted that they used the same weight loss method as the placebo group. “We have never studied the effects of Xenical on the risk of gastric cancer in patients taking the drugs,” said Chiesi.
“We are not sure about the effectiveness of Xenical on reducing the risk of gastric cancer in patients who have a family history of gastric cancer,” said Chiesi.
“It is important to know that Xenical can reduce the risk of gastric cancer by up to 60 percent in obese patients,” said Chiesi.
Chiesi said that patients should be educated on Xenical to avoid adverse effects.
